“I was instinctively drawn to ‘Down the Steps’Lighthouse keeper,’ somehow finding great empathy with the figure’s gesture. A contemplatative slowness, the sort that seems to fill up my days. I am so happy to know that I will own this, and know that it will have a genuinely calming, meditative effect upon me.
I also like the idea that in the future all these paintings will come together again like some awesome force, perhaps even making more intergenerational queer friendships. Wonderful.”
