Cartoons, xmas cards, articles, odds and ends, pieces of ephemera that don’t quite fit elsewhere.
Bio and rare picture of Stewart in his younger days for Homes and Gardens, from 1960. He was a regular contributor.
Most of Stewart’s cartoons were one-panel gags, but he produced at least two cartoon strips featuring a cat called Smith, possibly based on one of his own beloved companions.
Another strip with a different character.
Stewart produced this Xmas card design for the Post Office in 1968.
One of the xmas cards he sent me.
Stewart got some of his designs printed on mugs at a local copy shop.
Stewart did a lot of commercial work for the Radio Times. He had a show, but it’s hard to tell if this was a group or a solo effort.
A hand-written bibliography, likely very partial, he was a prolific artist.
